Our first meeting for 2026-2027 will take place on Wednesday October 8 at 1400 at the Alberta SIMposium (Arthur Child Cancer Centre AND online)
Purpose:
Alberta Simulation (ABSim) is a community of practice that aims to:
Foster collaboration, best practices, and resource sharing among interdisciplinary professionals who utilize simulation.
Promote and support professional development and continuous learning.
Support innovation in simulation-based education (SBE).
Promote and enhance the use of simulation in education, training, and research across Alberta.
Objectives:
Collaboration: Create a network for simulation professionals to collaborate and share knowledge.
Best Practices: Identify, develop, and disseminate best practices in simulation.
Education and Training: Support continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
Research and Innovation: Promote research and innovation in SBE across Alberta.
Resource Sharing: Develop a repository for sharing simulation resources, tools, and materials.
